One of the first Romanian open-air festivals, Rock la Mures, has just revealed the first bands for their 12th edition from 12-13 July 2024, featuring a diverse range of music artists and bands. In an attempt to surpass their previous editions, the organizers plan on curating an impressive lineup, starting with Colombian band Doctor Krapula, USA band Dropout Kings, and Romanian bands Avoid Humanity and June Turns Black.
Rock la Mures began as a music festival that filled the country with the best and most rebellious acts and artists by hosting some of the maddest parties in Romania. Since its first edition, the festival has been the place for artists to cut their teeth – from emerging artists to established and renowned musicians, Rock la Mures provided incredible days full of festivities with two stages running.
Rock la Mures 2024 promises to be a fest of exciting and diverse music, making it a must-attend event for rock music enthusiasts. We want to provide high-energy shows and music that cuts to the bone while making lifelong memories for the acts and the audience alike.
says the organizers.
Doctor Krapula is a star selling out stadiums in their homeland. They’ve been playing since 1998 and have numerous MTV Latin Awards and Latin Grammy nominations to their credit. This Colombian band will serve a fairly mixed cocktail of ska and reggae, lightly flavored with punk rock and freshly spiced with South American rhythms of salsa and merengue.
Dropout Kings is a generational evolution of rap-infused rock bands such as Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit, fusing heavy metal sounds with progressive trap and hip-hop music rhythms. With over 30 million streams on Spotify and countless presences on the world’s greatest stages, Dropout Kings is, at the moment, one of the greatest NU metal bands.
Avoid Humanity was founded in 2017 in Bucharest, and its style is a powerful mixture of death metal and hardcore. Their “Live at Bran Castle” concert was taken over by Audiotree International, the YouTube channel where bands like Greta van Fleet, Textures, and The Devil Wears Prada made their debut.
June Turns Black is one of Romania’s most exciting new metalcore bands. From the very first release, the Bucharest-based band caught everyone’s attention with their electronicore/screamo-djent style. June Turns Black‘s music videos, created by the band and their tight-knit team, beautifully complement their songs’ themes, so they promise a visual show too.
These are all unmissable acts, but wait, there’s gonna be more…
While this sounds pretty great so far, there’s going to be so much more where that came from.
Tickets are up for sale on iaBilet.ro.
