Newly formed modern metal/hardcore band HOSTVGE has released their debut single ‘Prison of My Mind,’ and you can get your first preview of the Brasov-based project below with the lyrics video.

Here we have a 3-minute chunk of modern heavyness. Their sound is energetic and cinematic, combining fast-paced polyrhythmic grooves with massive and dark electronic elements and throwing out thick burly guitars and angry shouts with adrenaline-soaked metalcore enthusiasm.

HOSTVGE has a dynamic energy that I find enticing. It’s an adrenaline rush, hard to remain motionless while listening to it. It’s a cocktail that may not be to everyone’s taste, but if you like a diverse and textured array of influences along with your metal, then this is for you.
