I assume that not many of you are familiar with ARCA, a project which I recently discovered too and I instantly fell in love with. ARCA was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her family moved to Darien, Connecticut for a while before returning to Venezuela when she was 9 years old, where she was introduced to piano lessons. She released music in her teen years by the name of Nuuro, and received moderate popularity in her home country, with praise from big national artists such as Los Amigos Invisibles. She later attended the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU.

A synth-pop sound, with a drop of boldness and exxxtravaganza, this avant-garde artist has rarely been simple: sexuality, sounds seductive in one breath, here and there like the punishing demented in another distorted exhalation., yet beautiful sound, closely resembles Björk which I also love from the bottom of my heart. I really appreciate these bands can manipulate the sound to the most extreme form possible and then enter under your skin, crawling there and planning to stay for a looong long time.

The video of the song ‘Time‘ is honestly one of the nicest, sexy and gorgeous video I’ve seen lately. I’ve never seen someone share so much on-screen chemistry with the devil. But all in one ARCA announced a new LP which I am eager to listen asap.
