Norwegian black-metal/punk legends HAUST are back with their original line-up nearly 14 years following the release of their last studio album together “Powers of Horror” issued in 2010.

The album’s lead single ‘Dead Ringer’ features Ivar Nikolaisen of Kvelertak and The Good The Bad and The Zugly on vocals and sees HAUST returning to the dark horror-inspired landscape of their early days.

Vebjørn had this to say about the track:

“The song is about the fear of being buried alive. Haust has, for all intents and purposes, been dead for several years, and with a helping hand from Ivar Nikolaisen, HAUST is hereby pulled out of the grave. The myth of a Dead Ringer comes from stories of graves equipped with a string attached to a bell at the gravestone, and if the bell rings, someone has been buried alive.”

HAUST original band members, Ruben Willem, Dag Otto Basgård, Pål Bredup, and Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg, reunited in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album “Ride The Relapse” with legendary live performance, and as a result, they decided to release record a new album with this lineup.

Titled “Negative Music”, this new effort is set to be released on April 19 on Fysisk Format and summarizes everything HAUST has done and stood for in the last 16 years: negativity, death, and corruption are recurring themes, and the music is more aggressive, noisy and catchy than ever before.
