For this exclusive series, Marc teamed up with Gabrièle Raygade, a French contortionist artist working and living in Brussels, Belgium. He reckons “contortion is a real art for Gabrièle wherein she is exploring the limits between the contortion act and the achievement of pure beauty in movement. The intensive physical control and long preparations are moulding the body into marvellous forms and lines. The body becomes a unique volume that is completely choreographed and curated, it is a slow process composed from every little adjustment before achieving the definite pose.

The photo sessions were slow and intense, it was a challenge to shoot the right moment and not to mis the pose, the pose could never be hold long in extreme position. Working with Gabrièle was an incredible project not only in achieving the final pose, but also in understanding the human beauty in its purest from.

Nudity was underlining the sculptural forms of the body in an almost classical way. It is not about nudity; it is all about the human perfection in beauty and naturality. As the ancient Greeks considered the nude body as a gift from nature, The project with Gabrièle was curated in the same perception. Achieving the natural beauty.”
