Greek-Finnish doom metal collective Aeonian Sorrow have returned with new haunting EP, “From The Shadows,” which was released yesterday, on March 31, 2025 in both physical and digital formats.

Formed in 2015, Aeonian Sorrow has become known for their cathartic and melancholic blend of doom, atmospheric, and epic metal. Their debut album, “Into The Eternity A Moment We Are” (2018), established the band’s signature sorrowful sound, followed by the emotionally charged EP “A Life Without” in 2020. After touring with Swallow the Sun and Oceans of Slumber in 2019 and weathering several lineup changes, the band resurfaced in 2023 with the single ‘Anemos,’ setting the stage for their highly anticipated sophomore album “Katara.”

Now, Aeonian Sorrow channels the cold embrace of isolation and despair into “From The Shadows”—a dark and immersive exploration of haunting memories and emotional depths. Inspired by the stillness of cold nights and the unsettling echoes of the forest, the EP promises a chilling yet deeply emotional experience.
