What starts as a simple studio shoot often becomes something more when passion meets intuition. That’s exactly what happened with Romanian photographer Bianca Petrișor, who set off to Bucharest for one planned photo session—and walked away with a stunning body of work that breathes emotion, mystery, and futuristic urban vibes.
“I set off for Bucharest with the idea of doing just one studio shoot, and I ended up working on several projects that I’m extremely proud of,” says Bianca. “Both because of the collaboration with the models and the final results.”
The images in her latest series showcase dark, flowing silhouettes moving through urban stillness. They have an almost cinematic stillness, a kind of quiet rebellion staged against cold concrete. It’s moody, powerful, and deeply intimate.

Working with two of her close friends as models, Bianca crafted three distinct editorial concepts inside the studio, but what happened outside added another dimension to the series. As part of a campaign for the Romanian fashion brand MAD HOUSE, she took her lens to the streets.
“I created three different studio concepts with two models. I always choose to establish a personal connection with the models I work with, but I was lucky this time because both girls were already friends of mine. I worked on three different fashion editorials, all of which felt very close to my heart. I really enjoyed handling both the photography and the creative direction.”
“For this campaign, I shot both in the studio and outdoors, at a very futuristic and urban location,” she explains. The result? A compelling contrast between human presence and rigid architecture, between soft movement and bold fashion.

Another special element of this project was her collaboration with Instax Romania, where Bianca got to test the new Instax Wide Evo camera. Known for its nostalgic instant prints, this tool became a crucial part of her creative process.
“I was fortunate enough to partner with the Romanian Instax importer for these concepts, and I had the chance to test the new Instax Wide Evo camera. I was extremely surprised by the quality with which this instant camera captures photos. I was also really happy that I could take pictures, store them, and then print only the best ones,” she shares.
Each image carries its own voice, mood, and atmosphere—unapologetically distinct and intentionally raw. “If I had to choose a favorite photo from the ones I took, I think it would be almost impossible,” Bianca says. “Each concept has its own unique and distinct vibe. They’re all my favorites.”
And honestly, we see why. In Bianca Petrișor’s universe, every shot tells a story—one you want to sit with, question, and maybe even become part of.
