Yvonne doesn’t write songs. She documents the aftermath. On ‘Louder’, the pop shapeshifter trades dancefloor euphoria for emotional excavation, digging through the quiet chaos that follows a friendship collapse. The result? A track that doesn’t ask for attention. It demands it, subtly, painfully, and without apology.
Lifted from her latest album “I’m Not Naïve”, ‘Louder’ sounds like the internal monologue you wish you never had to hear. It’s that exact second when you realize a once sacred connection is circling the drain, and all the noise you’ve buried deep comes roaring back, louder than ever.
“It’s about that moment when a friendship starts slipping through your fingers, and you’re still pretending it’s not happening,” Yvonne confesses. “You want to believe there’s still something there. But it’s gone. And all left is this hollow echo that won’t shut up.”
Sonically, it’s sharp. Cinematic. A clean-cut blend of downtempo synths, bedroom beats, and a whisper of alt-rock edge. Think Banks meets The XX, if they took a long drive at dusk through emotional wreckage. The production doesn’t cry. It simmers. Builds. Then drops you in the middle of something gorgeously uncomfortable.
The visual, directed with surgical sensitivity, captures this mood in full bleed. Shot during golden hour in a forest still thawing from winter, the video feels like a fever dream on the edge of collapse. There’s no glamour here. No fake catharsis. Just raw, open-ended longing painted in cold light.
Behind the camera, Vlad Rădoi chased shadows and sun flares in a race against time (and a pack of wild sheepdogs, because art). The result is pure atmosphere: a visual that feels more like memory than narrative.

‘Louder’ isn’t about heartbreak. It’s about what comes after. The unanswered messages. The slow, silent disappearance. The internal volume cranked to max while you keep pretending everything’s chill.
This isn’t your typical radio pop. But it could be, if mainstream dared to feel this real. In the end, ‘Louder’ doesn’t ask for resolution. It thrives in the fallout, where everything’s cracked but still standing. Yvonne doesn’t just give us a track, she gives us the silence after the storm, the pulse under the scar. And in a world that won’t shut up, she’s not trying to out-scream it. She’s just letting the ache speak, and somehow, that’s so much louder.
