Cultartes had the opportunity to know Karina a while ago, in an interview we did for the webzine. You can read it here
Karina is back this time with an exclusive black and white series called Disturbia. She emphasizes the details, first with her choice of theatrical postures for her models, then with a combination of Photoshop. The series is a beautiful, surprising mix of images and the visual universe of the Romanian photographer is a genuine trip to a vintage imagination game. Karina told us that she “tried to capture the female features and to create compositions out of them.”

I always get my inspiration from other artists and also from people around me. In my photos I usually try to capture the person’s essence so you can look at the photo and really see their personality. I think that’s what people love most about my portraits, the fact that the photos are so alike as a style yet so different. (Source)
