I’ve discovered the Romanian illustrator Teodora Slavu on Instagram, known there as Dora Ilustradora. The artist lives in Cluj-Napoca and currently works as a graphic designer. Teodora claims she started to draw since she was a child, and only at the age of 12 she started to paint and photograph.

Inspired by everything surrounding her, she said ‘I can dream my next illustration, or I can simply start an idea from out of nowhere.’
Much of what Teodora depicts will make you laugh and think ‘damn, that’s true’. Drawn in a contemporary-inspired style, her illustrations feature daily struggles, lodging complaints, and pretty much proving that our life revolves around apps or social media.
