Former member of the experimental hip-hop group Dälek, Oddateee is a key figure in New York’s underground scene. Now based in Lyon for almost ten years, he has collaborated with Le Peuple de l’Herbe and returns with a crew of four: Junior Robinson, Mickalo’, Skalla, and Dälek on production.
If their names don’t ring a bell, their musical chemistry surely will. The beats? True to Oddateee’s dark, unmistakably ’90s style, that golden age of hip-hop. The result is new album “Rabbit Season”, out March 28, 2025 on Atypeek Music/ KdB Records.

New album “Rabbit Season” opens with ‘What’s the Cause,’ a heavy mid-tempo track that sets the tone: “everything is out of control.” Next is ‘Give Love,’ a 2-minute-35 trip-hop infusion blending love and resilience.
Even darker, ‘Dumb Shit’ sits on a haunting mid-tempo beat, with a more intense rhythm in the second half. As for ‘SpiKKKs,’ it begins with a deep piano line and minimalist rhythm, less groovy but profoundly striking. The album promises raw energy, intense contrasts, and we’re waiting for just one thing: to dive into its darkness live, in the sweat and bass.
