19-28 of March, Cluj-Napoca:
Mars, the creation of the British artist Luke Jerram, is a 7 meters light-art installation created with the help of images from NASA, each centimeter representing 10 kilometers of Mars’ surface.
Mars will be exhibited for the first time in Romania and you can visit it between 19-28 of March during Lights In The Park 2021 – Cluj Napoca in Iulius Park.
According to Lonely Planet, the exhibition showcases artwork from previous NASA missions, with this one paying special tribute to the Perseverance rover, which made a seven-month voyage from Earth before finally landing on Mars.
Jerram’s website says the artwork allows us to view Mars from the air ‘as though we are a satellite mapping and studying the surface in perfect details‘.
