After years of speculation and repeated questions from fans, Breaking Benjamin have finally reached a major milestone: their next studio album is officially finished.

The band confirmed the news during an appearance at Germany’s Rock Am Ring festival, where guitarists Jasen Rauch and Keith Wallen revealed that the long-awaited successor to “Ember” is complete and preparing for release.

According to Rauch, the project has entered its final stages, with only artwork, mastering and a few finishing touches left before the band can unveil more details. While the album’s title remains under wraps for now, he hinted that several major announcements are just around the corner.

The new record arrives after an unusually long and complex creative process. Breaking Benjamin spent much of the post-pandemic period working on the material, revisiting songs multiple times and navigating various challenges along the way. Some tracks were reportedly recorded and re-recorded several times before the band felt they had achieved the sound they were aiming for.

Beyond the studio, the group also faced a series of personal and professional hurdles, including lineup adjustments and family-related commitments, all of which contributed to the extended timeline. Despite the delays, the musicians believe the extra time ultimately strengthened the final product.

Keith Wallen acknowledged the patience of the band’s fanbase, admitting that the group has been fully aware of the constant demand for new music. After spending years refining the album, he said the band is eager to finally share it with listeners.

One of the final recording sessions took place only recently while the band was traveling between festival appearances. Rauch revealed that a single vocal line remained unfinished, and once it was recorded, the album was officially complete.

The announcement follows the release of the singles ‘Awaken’ and ‘Something Wicked’, both of which offered an early glimpse into the band’s next era. ‘Awaken’ marked Breaking Benjamin’s first new material in several years and quickly gained momentum among fans, while ‘Something Wicked’ showcased a heavier, more ambitious approach.

Frontman Benjamin Burnley previously described the new music as a creative leap forward, explaining that the band deliberately pushed beyond its usual boundaries in search of new possibilities without losing the core identity that has defined Breaking Benjamin for more than two decades.

Although an official release date has yet to be announced, expectations are that further details will emerge in the coming months. For a fanbase that has waited more than eight years for a new full-length record, the confirmation that the album is finally finished signals the beginning of a long-awaited new chapter.

After years of silence, Breaking Benjamin are ready to return.
