Bebi Monsuta’s brand new single has arrived, is fierce and confident, just like the blood sisters + baby monsters (which their name translates to in Japanese, a language of their maternal ancestors). ‘RäkStär’ the second offering from their forthcoming debut EP, is an empowering, bad-girl anthem showcasing the Monsuta side of the sister duo watch here:

Bebi Monsuta’s most recent release is equally contagious and bouncy, a track called ‘808’ which is accompanied by a captivating, body-bold, and self-choreographed official visual bolstered over a kawaii-hop beat. “Bounce, bounce, bounce like it’s 808” they sing, and dance, and you will indeed.

The one-love sisters teleport us to the future in their vibrant, feel-good music and their genre-refusing identity is what can be expected in their debut EP out this fall on +1 Records/EMPIRE. The girls also recently delivered this energy to the live stage at Elsewhere in Brooklyn supporting as a special guest before La Doña.

We want people to feel motivated and worthy, we want those who listen to this project to feel that the truth is and will always be better than a lie. Stand in it, own it and be brave.

Bebi Monsuta are rockstars from New York City. Manami, born in the Bronx,  and Akira, in Manhattan, together fuse a level of energy and confidence only bred in New York City, with their Afro-American and Caribbean roots and Japanese and Portuguese-Brazilian heritage woven through the sonic spirit of the music.

Inspired by a melange of genres, and roused from the music of Gwen Stefani, Vanity 6, Brazilian Funk, and alternative R&B, Bebi Monsuta is a force of sounds from the fringe to be reckoned with — and in their own words, “unapologetically us”. Together, the sisters marry their roots into their self-composed music and bold visuals.

‘RäkStär’ and ‘808’ tracks follow Bebi Monsuta’s debut, ‘Brazilian Sound’ ft. ABRONCA earned overseas airplay on BBC 1Xtra with Jamz Supernova and over 200K streams. The Bebi is sweet but the Monsuta is hard.
