Ice Nine Kills are stepping deeper into the fog once again, this time through a full-scale crossover with “Dead by Daylight”. Fresh off the announcement that frontman Spencer Charnas will also appear in “Halloween: The Game”, the band now returns with another expansion of their horror-driven universe, this time inside Behaviour Interactive’s long-running multiplayer nightmare.
Teased online with the chilling line, “You can flee, you can fight… but you won’t survive the night,” the collaboration brings a new original track titled ‘Play Dead’, set for release on June 26.
The announcement lands during a landmark year for “Dead by Daylight”, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Since its 2016 debut, the game has grown into one of horror gaming’s defining platforms, merging original killers with legendary figures from film and pop culture, while building a crossover ecosystem that sits comfortably between gaming, metal, and horror fandom.
As part of the anniversary rollout, Behaviour Interactive has outlined further updates planned through 2026 and beyond, including visual upgrades, new chapters, and an increasing number of collaborations. Ice Nine Kills now joins that expanding roster, extending their presence beyond music into one of horror’s most recognizable interactive worlds.
Alongside ‘Play Dead,’ the band will also receive an in-game cosmetic collection inspired by their theatrical aesthetic. The drop includes themed outfits for Dwight, Meg, Jeff, Kate, and The Legion, each filtered through the band’s signature horror-infused identity.
Few modern heavy acts have built a universe as consistently cinematic as Ice Nine Kills. Each release feels less like a standalone track and more like a scene from an ongoing horror anthology, one that now, quite literally, steps into the game.
