Michigan metallers City State brings forward a track with an abundance of powerful, tension-building sound and lyrics in the form of their brand new single ‘Haven’.
Accompanied by a music video that is now premiering via Dreambound YouTube channel, ‘Haven’ is now available worldwide on various music streaming platforms through Famined Records.
‘Haven’ is about a later part of the grief process that was partially explored in ‘Requiem’, the closing song on the band’s 2019 debut album “Equinox”. While ‘Requiem’ delved into the initial anguish after discovering the loss of a loved one, ‘Haven’ conveys the cost of moving on. The pain and guilt felt when letting someone go, even if it means finally moving forward, can feel like losing them all over again.
City State’s upcoming EP “Violent Bodies” coming October 29th is also ready to pre-order! Get the much-awaited EP as well as the merch bundles here.
