Belgian photographer Marc T. has just released a stunning new series inspired by the incredible films of director Andrej Tarkovsky. This project showcases Marc’s deep appreciation for Tarkovsky’s work, especially the captivating themes found in films like ‘Andrei Rublev’ (1964-66), ‘Stalker’ (1978-79), and ‘Nostalgia’ (1982-83).

Marc sees photography as a special way to connect with people—a three-way conversation between the subject, the photographer, and the viewer. Through his lens, he aims to present a true reflection of reality, highlighting the complexity of human emotions. Each photo is more than just an image; it’s a chance to form deeper connections and inspire reflection, drawing viewers into the stories and feelings behind the scenes. With this series, Marc invites everyone to join him in exploring the beauty and fragility of our human experiences.

He shares, “I’m fascinated by the light and the deep nostalgic feelings that create a different perception of drama. Marianna Yakunenko’s modeling is absolutely exquisite in this series.”

“Far away from the bustling city, in the southern part of the Netherlands, Marianna wanders along the beach during an early spring journey. Though winter is coming to an end, dark clouds play with the delicate sunbeams trying to break through the heavy overcast. A slightly salty offshore wind brushes against her hair and skin, and she feels a gentle shiver move through her. A caravan in a secluded holiday park offers her silence and peace. She lies on the couch, drifting off into dreams,” the photographer adds.
