Surrounded by her machines, French one-woman phenomenon Moonya delivers dark electronic music that’s both fragile and powerful. The multi-instrumentalist singer gracefully blends vocals, guitars, keyboards, and live-looping into a dark poetic universe from which catchy melodies, organic arrangements, and a seldom-found scenic presence emerge.

After three EPs (“Heaven”, “Eye” and “Golden Tree”), Moonya will release her debut album “Faces” on Atypeek Music. On “Faces” she goes from darkness to the light. With english and french lyrics, each song makes us travel in a dream world, with melancholy and nostalgia, always takes us to hope. Ten songs for different images, different landscapes, different faces.

She shared the stage with AaRon, Kid Francescoli, The Handsome Family, Viagra Boys, Fatoumata Diawara, The Offspring and others. She has been likened to Grimes in the music press, but she’s very much her own creation, a unique artist “using technology to replace the conventional band and present great performances entirely solo”.
