There was an interesting, rather weird thought when I first heard about Marius’s event idea. Have you ever experienced that happiness-envy feeling? Well, that kinda happened to me. There was a huge fight taking place in my mind, from “wow, man, I’m so happy, proud of you…bla, bla, this is like the best idea ever” to “you can’t do that without me being there. I mean, come on! I don’t wanna miss this”. But everything was badass. At least this is how I saw it from the pictures. (cries inside)
A great exhibition is basically a really great drug, you feel the people around you and it’s a surging mass of humanity. It appeared extraordinary striking to me that Marius and Melania actually created their own world for two days, they choose most of the people living on that fantasy planet, what kind of entertainment they should watch, attracting those of a similar mindset. This project was ready to cross the boundaries dictated by modern exhibition and to enjoy a purely artistic experience in which it’s hard to tell if what is important are the images you see or the message of freedom it portrays. This challenges contemporary art conventions, let me tell you!
