Bianca Petrisor or also known as Bie Illustrated is a young artist living in Timisoara. Her work is a combination of photography and illustration and most of her images are black and white because she “loves the idea of giving more personal touch to a simple, minimal photograph through illustration, clean lines and color.” Her exclusive nude series is called “Sexuality isn’t PORN” and invites the viewer to explore a simple, yet surprising photo shooting. The photographs are not intended to be a technical tour de force, but the technique is sufficient to convey a concept. She started to photograph about ten years ago when she still was in highschool. “I had a good friend that used to take pictures of me for his own personal projects and I started to get interested in photography behind the camera. It intrigued me. I realized that it is what I want to do the most because there’s a unique way of expressing feelings and emotions through a camera lens. It’s easy to push a button, but it is not easy to stage the shot in your head. I always know how I want the final shot to look like in the end.

When asked about her choice of color, Bianca explained: “Actually yellow was my least favorite color until this year. I realized that for me it is the warmest color I can find because it gets me thinking about the sun and its warmth. That’s what I want my photographs to give to the people that look at them: warmth, intimacy, emotion. I want to approach the viewer in a more personal way.

Everything and everyone around me inspires me. It’s as simple as that. I’ve always had a different way of looking at the world and finding little details that most of the people don’t see at first sight.
