A perfectly drafted online campaign is starting tomorrow under the name of “Poetry is not Dead“. The direct statement could easily be considered a manifesto, created by the talented guys from “Zona Nouă“, a Romanian Iasi-Based website where a couple of young contemporary poets share their inner thoughs and feelings day after day.
Here’s a hint about the main idea of the “Poetry is not Dead” campaign: “On January the 15th, zonanoua.com is launching the poetry is not dead campaign, with poets filmed reading from Eminescu”. According to this, a group of young poets will be reading from Eminescu, our most famous poet, and they will be filmed doing it.
Yes, it might look simple and obvious, but why haven’t we done this before? The short teaser created by Mihai Curtean (music by Eyeswitch) makes us believe that the whole campaign will be pretty furious. I guess we’ll see tomorrow.
