Paper Fashion Or Where Fashion Meets Paper

Boys, I’m really sorry about you, but I’m afraid this is exclusively a woman thing. Hehe! What I’m going to do is presenting you, girls, women, and so be it, boys, Paper Fashion. It was born in 2009 by Katie Rodgers in order to share her amazing and fantastical watercolours with the entire world. Originally from Atlanta, GA, she currently resides in New York City.

This talented artist and designer document her fashion dreams through uniquely original, hand-drawn and painted illustrations. Rosie has successfully collaborated with Swarovski, Clé de Peau, Kate Spade, Coach, Calypso St. Barths, Stuart Weitzman, Parker Pens, Lacoste, and Glamour Magazine among others.

Once you have started to see some of her magical works, you just can’t stop doing this. Her emotional and shimmering sketches belong to a fairy-tale, a story Katie is trying to tell us. They are, in a way or another, full of mystery, an untouchable type of art.
I am not trying to talk about the way she draws, but about the femininity that surrounds and determinates our inner beauty. The outstanding colours are perfectly chosen to create an even better atmosphere, a pleasant and incredible reaction when seeing these works.

Where Fashion meets Paper is actually a representative initiation into the creativity and design art. What can be greater and remarkable than facing the world through feminism and sensibility? I see this whole project as the perfect getaway from this world, apathy and rage.
But things are not quite that simple as you may think. She use to combine other objects with her drawings and this requires a lot of technique and patience as well.
