Romanian photographer Ionel Onofras (Onofrash) is capturing young women practicing their favourite arts: music, painting, dancing, acting or others.
The artist is giving new perspectives to a variety of themes, such as etno photography or wildlife, and even religion, but he’s mostly focused on illustrating feminity in all its splendor. Most of his artworks depict warmth and kindness, but sensuality is not entirely left out. The women’s innocent youth becomes his neverending still art. It’s like his models are making love to their instruments, whatever those would be: a violin, a paintbrush, a balerina shoe, the stage.
From his website description: “[The Photographer] is always serious. He’s missing his native land, and instead of digging […], he takes pictures. He’s so direct and tender that he succeeded to throw himself into his artworks, ghost-like or alive, and became eternal”.
The “Ballerina Girl Project” it’s probably the pearl of his crown. The on-going photographic project beautifully describes the stunning motions and the infinite gentleness of over 20 dancers in more than amazing 30 unique captures so far. Indoors and outdoor, with incredible landscapes caught in the backgrounds or in the privacy of his studio.
