I was fooling around on Pinterest, always looking for some cool clothes and fashion style. This time was different. I searched for Romanian photographers and there she was. The mysterious Crina Prida. Living in Cluj-Napoca, she adds some of this city majesty into her photos. Her mostly black and white photos are full of intensity, sensuality and spirituality; you’ll sense emotions from pain, fear or any other unwanted feelings to love and eroticism.
She reckons “the most intimate visual reference has always been THE cinema“. I find Crina’s photography a reflection of herself, always tricky but kind of showing off the natural beauty of women. You’ll always look for more of her raw pictures, searching sceneries of struggle or determination, searching for powerful, yet innocent expressions. Crina will injure your soul, but she’s easily saving some room for harmless, enjoyable memories.
I am fascinated with the freedom one can reach through experiment, randomness or accident, and the versatile engagement into conceptual art, be that photography, painting or any other form of visual expression.
