Both featured in CVLTARTES Issue #5 – Smoke X Mirrors, Patricia Nita and Marius Lupu have finally met in Bucharest due to photography and kindly remembed about the times they spent together in kindergarten. Patricia asked Marius for a collaboration on a project she already started; they had the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and work for the first time in a creative environment.
What I find to be the most interesting is when two artists combine their works in a series like this one in order to emphasize the differences. Differences mustn’t distance ourselves. This is what I dream about and I think it’s somehow ideal for the both of us. To be recommended for what you do, to have your signature mark known; creating art together and respecting each other will lead to a specific vibe. So we evolve. Yet there are many problems regarding this aspect. Too much pride and many energies gone all wrong. It’s not that unity you’d hope for and dreamed about. And it should be a lot easier from this point of view. – Marius Lupu
“Unpleasant true” is a playful, affectionate, dreamy photo-series. They play with femininity and glitter, light and shadows, smoke and tattoos, creating a somehow thoughtful feeling.
